all staff well informed, polite, courteous, & pleasant. Breakfasts were very tasty & included a wide choice of food. I definitely would stay with you again.

James Jones on 13-Jun-2013:
Excellent location with a very nice room. Easy walk to the Old Town Square. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Prague.

Hotel Guest on 11-Jun-2013:
Great location - quiet but a short walk to everything. Great breakfast, friendly staff, reasonable rates. We stayed in five hotels during our trip to Eastern Europe and it was our favorite.....

Marie Natoli on 8-Jun-2013:
What a delightful place! Comfortable rooms, (small, but given the price no problem), great location. Reception desk attendants Eva and Tomas were wonderful. Only suggestion -- vary the breakfast offerings. We were there for a week and it got tedious. Marie Natoli

I traveled with my husband, parents and brother. We booked 2 rooms: one double and one triple. The rooms were spacious and pleasant. The location is central and all is easily accessible. The staff is patient and the manager very helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel.

My mother and I stayed at Hotel Hastal for 6 nights and we couldn't have been happier. The hotel is located in a perfect location, right off the Old Quarter. The staff were so nice and helpful. When I return to Prague I will definitely stay at Hotel Hastal again and will recommend it to anyone visiting Prague.

Richard Sivers on 27-May-2013:
I found the hotel to be conveniently located, the staff exceptionally helpful and even amid the remodel of the reception area, pleasant and easy to work with.

Hotel Guest on 22-May-2013:
We loved our stay at the Hotel Hastal! It was near great restaurants, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was the best, and the beds were very comfortable. We would stay here again!

Hotel Guest on 22-May-2013:
staff is very helpful.

Gerald Motl on 10-May-2013:
The hotel is very conveniently located near Old Town and easily accesses Metro. The front desk staff particularly Thomas, was very friendly and extremely helpful. Although our room was a little small, the accommodation was clean and comfortable. A very understated benefit is the cafe Kambala and the incredible food prepared by Chef Peter. The seafood was prepared very skillfully and perfectly. We enjoyed the salmon, sea bass, sea bream, and shrimp. The seasonings were wonderful! We only discovered this gem ourselves as this was not mentioned or encouraged at anytime during our 4 day stay. Too bad as this could be terrific selling point for the hotel. The breakfasts were also very good with plenty of buffet food and choices.

Jacob deLeeuw on 29-Apr-2013:
We were very impressed with the classy room(302), excellent service, available elevator and great location. The complimentary breakfast was a great addition.

Hotel Guest on 29-Apr-2013:
We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Hastal April of 2013. Every morning we were greeted with a friendly hello, and the staff was friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed our breakfast and the convenient location of the hotel to the many sites that we visited during the stay. One night it got a bit warm, and the air conditioning was turned on in our room! We would highly recommend you stay at Hotel Hastal for a wonderful experience.

Hotel Guest on 26-Apr-2013:
We were greeted by Eva with a warm welcome. She couldn't do enough for us and made our stay very pleasant. Good location, rooms were nice and breakfast buffet had plenty of options. Good value.

Josie Turner on 23-Apr-2013:
We had a great stay - lovely hotel, so central, just 5 mins walk from main Old Square, they picked us up from the airport too. Very reasonably priced, and a great breakfast included and also a restaurant attached which did amazing food. Cute rooms with lovely views. RECOMMENDED :)

Christine Wright on 22-Mar-2013:
This was a return visit to this lovely hotel. The location is superb, quiet but close to all the main sights. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Taxis arranged to and from the airport. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and indeed have done and friends have also stayed here as a result.

James Fox on 17-Feb-2013:
We enjoyed our recent stay at Hotel Hastal very much, mainly because of the friendly staff (Thomas on reception) and the extremely friendly and helpful driver (Michael) who the hotel uses for airport pick up and drop off. The hotel is ideally situated, around 300 metres from the Old Town Square, for walking around Pragues numerous historic sites. The room we had (320 was large, warm and comfortable, and there was an unexpected gift of a free bottle of wine waiting for us in the room on our arrival. Our only minor criticism was that the hot buffet breakfast could have been more varied, but that apart, we would definitiely recommend Hotel Hastal to our friends and family, and we will be back! Great location. Nice room. Great people.

Joseph Di Peri on 28-Dec-2012:
The Hotel Manager offered me the coat off his back literally, when our bags got delayed for 2 days. The restaurant and bar owners were great and helpful, making a wonderful breakfast buffet and taking care of local recommendations. Would give them 5 stars.

russell franks on 20-Dec-2012:
As I have stayed once before I knew that this hotel was very good. The lady on reception wearing a red jacket was particularly helpful. The room was comfortable and clean and breakfast more than adequate. I will stay at this hotel again without any hesitation

Old restored hotel with GREAT STAFF!! This Hotel is within walking distance, they offer a great car service very clean and professional at a GREAT PRICE and willing to work that amount into your hotel bill. They are willing to make reservations for you if needed as well, the breakfast is good, but usually busy!

I would recommend the Hasta hotel to anyone wanting a very friendly and reasonably priced hotel in the centre of Prague. It has a great location right next to the "Lokal" bar where you can get real Czech food and beer at great prices. Try this hotel - you will not be dissaponted !

Joel Goldberg on 16-Nov-2012:
great little place; we loved it.

Askin Erdemir on 5-Nov-2012:
Me and my wife has been very happy that we have selected your Hotel for our visit to Prague. Hotel has been located centrally in walking distance to town center and clean room and good service. The breakfast has been reach and as there has been snow, heating worked well. Best regards Askin Erdemir

Hotel Guest on 4-Nov-2012:
Very comfortable room, spacious with excellent beds. Breakfasts were varied with good quantity. Reception extremeley helpful especially with local taxi for evening events. My husband is partially disabled after a stroke so the position of hotel was perfect for closeness to Old Town Square. Will certainly return. Middle aged couple.

Hotel Guest on 3-Nov-2012:
Great stay. Nice clean rooms, small but perfectly normal for European town center. Convenient location. Friendly helpful desk service. Good breakfast. I would definitely stay there next time I am in Prague.

Richard Devlin on 29-Oct-2012:
We loved our stay ay the Hotel Hostal. This hotel has been in the same family for 100 years. It has completly modern rooms. I am 6'2" and had no problems with the bed or bathroom. The hotel has also retained the old world charm in the interior stairs and hallways and guest rooms. All of the staff were first rate and professional. I had the pleasure to speak directly with the owner, he is completly committed to making your stay at his Hotel the best experiance possible. I highly recomend the Hotel Hostal.

David Kucera on 23-Oct-2012:
Great place to stay and would certainly return on my next trip. Room on small side but not an issue since sleeping is all we used it for. We had back side room on top floor. Quiet. Staff very helpful. Tomas, Richard and Eva were very helpful to us. Sonya provided breakfast. Try her mushroom soup! The only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 is that it is a bit far to make tram or metro (subway) connection. About 5 blocks. Wonderful resturants in area but the Italian Sausage and pasta combo in hotel resturant was the best I ever had. Bar restaurant staff were great fun. Aussie manager and lots of English beer drinkers.

Hotel Guest on 30-Sep-2012:
Stay was great. Nice quiet location, but within walking distance of many sights. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. I would and have already recommendated this hotel to others.

Hotel Guest on 22-Sep-2012:

Susan Sivyer on 19-Sep-2012:
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the proprietor of the restaurant connected to the hotel was also great. Great location, too!

Robert Ronai on 17-Sep-2012:
The hotel is not a modern steel and glass hotel that could be anywhere in the world if you close your eyes. That is why we chose to stay there, we wanted a hotel to reflect the atmosphere of its location. It is very conveniently located within walking distance of everywhere. The staff are very helpful and the room was a good size. The free wi-fi worked well. We enjoyed our stay at the Hastal and it certainly added to our enjoyment of Prague. We recommend it to everyone who wants to feel at home in Prague.

Hotel Guest on 17-Sep-2012:

David Nelson on 31-Aug-2012:
All the staff welcomed me warmly,, readily answered any question I had about the local scene. The breakfast buffets were ample, the room always clean and neat. Hotel Hastal and the staff were a big plus in making my visit to Prague a very memorable and enjoyable adventure.

Bernice Alvins on 31-Aug-2012:
Hastal is in a quite part of town away from the busy tourist areas but close enough to walk to the main sites. The hotel has its own charm and the owner is very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Ronald MacPhee on 30-Aug-2012:
Pleasant hotel with friendly staff, no problems at all :)

Yvonne Battersby on 23-Aug-2012:
Very pleasant place to stay. Excellent location to the sights.

Hotel Guest on 15-Aug-2012:
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Hastal and would stay here again if we ever return to Prague. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and had a great view of the cathedral across the street (and it helped that we got upgraded). The location could hardly have been better; we walked pretty much everywhere and it was easier than expected to get around the city from the hotel. We also appreciated that breakfast was included, and had an excellent dinner at the attached restaurant on our last night in Prague. Overall, it was a great experience!

Henry Nylund on 13-Aug-2012:
Nice feeling at the hotel, feels like a family owned place. It has real character. The Bar/Restaurant on street level is very nice! Food is great and it's owned by a very nice australian guy. There also is a dog "working" there. :)

Aaron Dahlgren on 11-Aug-2012:
Great place, great price, great staff!

Victoria Gorman on 7-Aug-2012:
Our stay at Hotel Hastal was superb! Thanks to the recommendation in Rick Steve's Eastern Europe book. The location, just a few blocks from Old Town Square, was perfect! Just far enough away from the Euro Cup 2012 celebrations in the square for peaceful night's rest. But close enough to feel like we were right in the local scene. The breakfasts were delicious and the sparkling wine, for mimosas, was an extra special treat. Our room was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. A great value as well. I look forward to visiting Prague and staying at Hotel Hastal again!

Irina Chubarova on 7-Aug-2012:
The service at the reception was great, the room was wonderful (for the money we expected something less beautiful but it was very beautiful), very nice view from the window. The hostal is not far from the sightseeings so we enjoyed our walk in the center of Prague and we saw a lor although stayed there only for one night. The breakfast was good, too. The hostal was better than on the fotos when I made a reservation)))))

Hotel Guest on 5-Aug-2012:
Staff was very friendly, great rooms and excellent value for money.

Hotel Guest on 27-Jul-2012:
Good location, fairly quiet area, near some excellent restaurants, friendly service. Ask for a room with a window, my first room had only a skylight.

andrew butler on 21-Jul-2012:
Great Hotel staff friendly and location close to all sites
