MAKRO Cash & Carry ČR s.r.o. s r.o. - Basic Information
"MAKRO Cash & Carry" was established as a daughter company of "SHV METRO". The new company METRO AG overtook all wholesale activities of "SHV METRO" in Europe by January 1, 1998.
In the Czech Republic, there are twelve MAKRO Cash & Carry wholesale centers. The floor space of each store is approximately 15.000 m2 (sales space is 9.700 m2). Exceptions are Černý Most (8.500 m2), Plzeň (6.500 m2), Zlín and Liberec (6.000 m2).
These centers focus on wholesale of a wide range of food and non-food consumption goods to registered entrepreneurs, especially to vendors and to companies active in the field of gastronomy. They are attractive shopping sites for retailers as much as for wholesalers or other customers as e.g. public administration bodies, schools, hospitals or other institutions of the kind. Likewise, the packaging of food matches this need - more consumer-like packaging for retailers, and large packages for gastronomy are available.
We issue Customer Cards to entrepreneurs (natural and legal persons) on bases of a registration. These cards allow their holders to enter not only all wholesale centers of MAKRO Cash & Carry in the Czech Republic, but the whole METRO / MAKRO network in other countries as well. For each customer, maximum two Customer Cards can be issued. All cards will be registered on the name of the holder. It is up to holder's decision - that means the owner or the statutory deputy of the company or organization - to which two deputies will the cards be entitled. By proper controls of holder's identity at the entrance to stores, employees of MAKRO Cash & Carry ČR s.r.o. assure the non-transferability of cards.
High turnover of merchandise, operational performance, a limited number of stores, efficient logistics and direct purchase of goods in huge quantities make it possible for MAKRO Cash & Carry ČR s.r.o. company to sell its goods for the most convenient trade prices.
